Lead the pack to a dry and windproof wonderland.
The Arc'teryx Men's Incendo Hooded Jacket blocks wind, repels light precipitation, and breathes well, so you don't feel like you're stewing in a sauna fifteen minutes into your run. The balance between moderate weather protection and strong breathability (thanks, mesh underarm vents!) makes the Incendo a great choice for trail running and intense hikes when you know you'll be working up a sweat but also need to be prepared for surprise weather. A fitted hood gives you a little bit of extra protection, and the zippered media pocket lets you take your tunes on the trail.

- Fit: True to size

To give a basis for this review, I originally used this as shell for colder weather running. I wear a long-sleeve base layer and then the Incendo over it. With just this baselayer /Incendo combo I can run in the windy temps as low as 40 degrees and feel comfortable. Why? Any sharpness that is always brought with cold wind was cut out, while at the same time allowing me to dump the heat I was producing while running. While definitely not your insulator in cold weather, it cuts down on that sharpness of wind/cold that prevents you from continuing whatever activity you are doing.
As this has become one of my favorite shells, I have also used it nordic skiing and biking. Essentially anytime I am going to be doing a high-output activity I always default to this shell.
Sizing: I am 5'9'' 142lbs and I am wearing a medium in the picture. I could definitely go with a small, but with the slim nature of the shell I am still perfectly happy with my medium., as I have slightly broader shoulders.
It's fit for me.not bad
Arc'teryx - Men's Incendo Hoody - Rigel
Streamlined, ultralight hooded shell delivers wind and weather protection during high-output mountain training and trail runs.
Much thinner than I thought.
I bought this for my husband for an upcoming trip to a place that has a lot of rain. I knew this was going to be lightweight, but it is extremely thin. It still does the job, but you definetly need to layer under it.
Not for some tall guys
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: XL
I have a bunch of pieces like this from Dynafit that are perfect in size (sleeve length, torso) in XL. The sleeves on this are too short. Torso is on the border.
