Brave the downpour in style.

From enduring showers in downtown Seattle to combating coastal mist on Cape Cod, the Arc'teryx Women's Codetta Coat offers impenetrable protection from the wettest conditions with the help of 3-layer Gore-Tex construction. The Gore-Tex membrane not only seals out raging rainstorms and passing showers, but just as importantly in damp climates, it offers impressive breathability to prevent the clammy sensation inside of the jacket. Fully sealed seams and WaterTight zippers prevent outside moisture from sneaking in through the jacket's most vulnerable areas.

The Codetta is designed with a street-savvy aesthetic to help you maintain your sense of style during urban commutes and daily errands in nasty weather. The regular fit with tailored lines allows comfortable room for layering up when it's chilly out, and the upper thigh length offers extra coverage and protection for inclement conditions. Gusseted underarms and articulated patterning promote a full range of motion, and a double kick pleat at the hem allows the back panel to fit over a bike seat. The spacious hood won't interfere with your up do and has a front brim to keep showers out of your eyes while you peddle to the office.

  • Street-savvy, waterproof jacket to keep dry in urban environments
  • 3 layer Gore-Tex shell provides breathable, waterproof protection
  • Seams are fully sealed to prevent diligent moisture from seeping in
  • Micro-seams and laminated construction eliminate bulk and stiffness
  • Articulated patterning and gusseted underarms offer mobility
  • Double kick pleat in hem enables back panel to fit over bike seat
  • Hood is adjustable and sits comfortably over up-do hair styles
  • Arc'teryx emphasizes performance with a function-first ethos

Excellent Shell - Noisy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XS

This won't let you down in rain / snow.
Fits really well for me, But may be an issue for others.

I am not so impressed with the looks though.
Pack-ability is not that great (No sack or similar options)
but I do carry this in town / travel / hike when I anticipate rain.

Crunchy Coat

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

There's no doubt that this is an excellent technical piece for rain, but I was surprised by how crunchy the material is. I think the fit is overall good, and the jacket looks nice, but hinging the elbows and movement is a bit awkward.

Great shell, sleeves too small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I wish I had read the other reviews first. I am on the hunt for a gore-tex trench and was really hoping this was the one. I am 5’9”, 145 lbs, ordered the large so that I could layer underneath. The fit was great EXCEPT for the sleeves. As other reviewers have said it’s super tight in the armpits and the sleeves seem short. I do have broad shoulders and the shoulder mobility is really constrictive. I would return for an XL but it is sold out in the blue I like. Sadly, my hunt continues.

Beautiful fit and color, terrible zipper

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XS

I love Arc'teryx products - the quality is normally beyond compare, and I love the fit and colors. I'm so disappointed in the zipper on this coat. It is a struggle to zip up, requiring multiple attempts. If I'm pulling out my rain coat it's probably because I want shelter quickly - I don't want to fumble with a zipper. Once zipped, the collar is uncomfortable at the chin - very stiff. Unfortunately I didn't explore these things until after I'd cut off the tags, but in preparing for a trip to Ireland I've been trying on the jacket to experiment with layering underneath. The zipper is so frustrating I will likely purchase another coat before my trip. I can't speak to its performance in wet weather since I haven't tested it. Like most Arc'teryx products, the coat is fitted, but I was able to purchase my usual size, XS, and can still layer underneath (Patagonia Better Sweater or down vest, for ex.). Such a bummer for the price.

Arc'teryx - Women's Codetta Coat

Waterproof, windproof, breathable GORE-TEX® protection with city style.

Perfect shell!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

I bought this jacket to use while I was traveling all over rainy Europe. It was awesome to have. I would layer a down jacket on super cold days with this on top to keep the moisture off. Really nice flattering fit. I am fairly tall (6'), so the thigh length fit, didn't really fit my body how it is styled, but that's the story of my life. That style is very in fashion there, and very practical in keeping your upper body protected and warm.

Perfect shell!

Great looking coat! Runs small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: small

Very chic looking coat! I'm very sad I have to return because the cut in the underarm area is way too small. I am 5'6'' 125lbs and normally wear size 2-4. The small fits perfectly with the exception of under the arms. The underarm area is tight with a t-shirt on. I do not have broad shoulders or large arms. I did not opt to buy the medium because I'm pretty sure it would look too big on me since everything else fit great on the small. :(

nice coat, arms/shoulders cut small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: small

Nice coat. Nice double-vent in back like a suit jacket. Flattering cut. Combo of snaps and zip in front give you options, which is key. Nice big functional hood. But shoulders/arm holes/arms all cut small/narrow. If you are normally a size 6, as I am, you might want to size up. Arm holes are uncomfortable and you can't wear anything under the jacket at all. Am returning.

good style

    Perfect for NYC

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I needed a coat that would look at home in the city but would actually keep me dry - and this is it! I loved the look of it online and knew I could trust it to function well because it's got Gore-Tex. The Codetta isn't bulky at all (it's really just a shell) and the longer length adds extra protection (meaning I'm good to go if I'm lucky enough to snag a seat on the subway). Hoods usually don't fit over my head, but this is the first time I can put my hood up and feel like my face is covered (without the awkward too-tight feeling). At 6 feet tall I always struggle trying to find jackets with sleeves that are long enough but I don't have that problem here. I originally sized up hoping for added length, but ended up exchanging it for my normal size (M) and the fit was perfect. On colder days I can layer this over a fleece and still have plenty of room to move. The styling of this coat means I still feel put together when I head into the office on a rainy day.

    Smart looking sport coat

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Size Bought: XS

Not exactly perfect cutting around the armpit area. I find the XS a bit tight and the S too big, creating a lot of creases under the armpit.
Would be nice if there is an inside pocket too.

    Look Good and Stay Dry

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Every time I fly home to visit my mom in NY she compliments me on my vast collection of Arc'teryx jackets, asking "Are they really worth it?" I decided that the best response to that question would be to let my mom see for herself, so I got her the Arc'teryx Nuri coat for xmas. Living in the ice-cold winter tundra called Buffalo, it quickly became her favorite jacket.

With her birthday fast approaching, I figured that since she has the insulated down jacket, she also needs a solid waterproof shell. Enter the Codetta coat. The more relaxed fit, even in an XS, allows her to wear the Nuri coat underneath for the ultimate weather-beating setup. She loves it!

    Stylish and Technical

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

This jacket has a great fit and is super street style chic. Living in a mountain town it's hard not to just throw on your gore-tex shell, but to have a piece like the Codetta to make you feel more street chic is amazing.

Gore-tex 3L will keep you dry in any down pour. Love the shaped cuff technology to keep more of your hands covered from the weather while still allowing you function.

    Great piece, well done Arc'teryx

    Center back length

      Hello All,

I just wanted to let everyone know that the center back length of this jacket in a size small is 31 inches.

      Perfect-In-Every-Way

Exactly what I needed and expected. The length is great in rainy, damp weather and keeps your legs from getting wet as well as allowing you to sit on a wet seat (Like a bleacher) in comfort. It Breathes!! No sweating inside the jacket, as promised because of the GoreTex material. The attached hood was easy to raise and lower and was big enough to actually shield my face. It helped when I wore a visor under it to keep the brim off my forward so I could see better when sightseeing. Deep pockets meant I didn't have to take a purse. I liked the snaps that I could easily snap closed when it got a little chilly. The fact that I didn't have to zip it up each time was nice, although I did zip it in heavy rain. The cuffs that are somewhat curved by the hand is a feminine touch and becoming. It is not a warm jacket which is what I wanted. I layered to achieve the warmth that i needed and used the jacket for rain and wind. Exactly what I wanted. It is a very versatile jacket with a bit of fit to it so I don't look like I have on my husbands coat. I am a big fan!
