    Great helmet for $100

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This helmet fit me well. I have had a few impacts with this helmet and it has held up great. It lacks in ventilation, however you will have to spend more money for that feature. This helmet does not have an adjustable headband for a better fit. This is the best helmet at this price point in my opinion. It looks great with any set of goggles too! I would purchase this helmet again and convinced 2 friends to purchase it after seeing mine.

    Fits well

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've previously owned one other Burton Red helmet (while they were still a company) - the Hifi Audio and this Anon helmet is much better designed and comfortable. I haven't noticed the chin/ear strap complaints that I've read from other owners however I've only used the helmet a handful of times. Electric goggles fit well both over and under the helmet.

    Fits well

    The chosen one

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This helmet is awesome! I went through 6 HELMETS, before I chose this bad boy. the other ones were all too mushroom head looking or just couldn't find the right size. I am a Large in most helmets with just a thin balaclava but on cold days I like to pack a beanie in there too and the large wouldn't cut it so I was trying XL sizes....well they were all HUGE. massive jump between the L and XL. Well I did some hardcore research and got this in black in a large. BOOM its perfect. for all of you- my head with a beanie only is 24 inches around. get yourself one! the lid is awesome and the Anon M2 or MIG mfi goggles look sweet with it!

Great Lid to Protect that Noggin!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased this helmet as a xmas and "please protect that dome on the mountain" gift for my boyfriend. He has been wearing RED Mutiny helmets for years and was bummed that they no longer make the exact helmet he has favored for so long. This Anon helmet is the closes in style to the mutiny and is perfect. It may not have all of the bells and whistles that some of the helmets on the market offer, but they are a nice comfortable design, durable for those folks who tend to abuse their gear, relatively light weight, nice looking when on, and reasonably priced. Overall this has been a great purchase and will offer peace of mind when he is out being wild on the slopes.

*** Sizing: I originally purchase the Large as he is a solid Large in Burton, Red, and most Anon Helmets. We ended up needing to exchange for the XL as the sizing in this one style was very different from others he has tried on.

*** Follow up: After a few uses it turns out the Large would have been the best fit for this helmet. A little snug when right out of the box, however the XL was swimming on him after a few days on the slopes.

    New Lid

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love the helmet runs a tinny bit small but honestly you dont want that thing moving around much on your dome piece :) easy to remove the padding inside if you like shredding with a Bennie underneath. however i find that it only fits right with goggles on and all the pads in. But it does the job and i dig it

    Super Comfortable Helmet

I would recommend buying this helmet based on comfort alone! Great profile and look is an added bonus. I was undecided about getting a helmet with a brim, but I'm happy I went with the brim. Keeps the snow from building up on my goggles and creating any fog issues.

      Poorly made, design flaws

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought this helmet for it's compatibility with the Outdoor Tech bluetooth chips. Rode with it for 3 days and I'm trying to return it.

As other reviewers have noted, there is nothing to prevent the chinstrap clip from falling off. This happened every single day I used the helmet and I almost dropped the clip down a storm drain.

The lining of the helmet is thin and was already showing signs of separating after very light use. The velcro was poking through and irritating my scalp.

The process of inserting and removing the bluetooth speakers requires removal of the entire back part of the liner. I did this three times to charge the speakers each night and by the end of our short trip, the liner was showing a surprising amount of wear and tear.

And finally, when the speakers are in, your ears will get pretty sore after a while. To be fair, this may not be a criticism of this helmet in particular and may be a limitation of the current generation of wireless speakers.

Perfect for December and January skiing

I bought this to make into a custom helmet. It does the job great. I did rip the Goggle strap off the back, but my goggles still stay on.

Perfect for December and January skiing

      Fantastic helmet with 2 flaws

First, I love the fit, look, comfort, everything about the helmet except...

        Now to the flaws:

        1. The ear pieces do not lock in and fall out while I ski. My 1st blitz did this only on one side so I exchanged for a 2nd one thinking it was a defect specific to the one helmet. My 2nd blitz does this on both sides. I chose to keep it and deal but I have to be conscious not to pull on them when I put the helmet on and I'm constantly pushing them up throughout the day. I've ended a few days with them just hanging on the straps. It's not bad out of the box but once it's broken in a bit it gets highly annoying. This is obviously not an issue if you do the no ear flaps, goggle under the helmet park rat thing ;-)

        2. The chin strap is not long enough and there is nothing keep the buckle from falling off. It fits me good with the strap totally maxed out but the buckle is so close to the end it's fallen off several times (luckily I haven't lost the buckle yet).

The picture shows what happens to the ear piece after one whack to the top. You can also see how much strap I have to work with.

        Fantastic helmet with 2 flaws

        Fit changed

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Been wearing RED/ANON helmets for 10+ years.

This is the first time a medium didn't fit me. Ended up giving it to my friend though and it fit her just fine.

I'm usually a 58-59cm fit which puts me on the fence for a lot of sizes (large in Bern, Med in Anon).

        My helmet of choice

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought this helmet as I wanted something with a lower profile than my old Giro Battle. Great fit, and really comfortable, and fits well with Oakley and VZ goggles.

        Premium Brain Bucket

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This helmet is perfect for simplicity. I purchased an XS in matte black. I feel so stealthy on the mountain in this helmet, almost invincible really. All because of that matte black finish. I like to wear beanies underneath my helmets, so I removed all of the padding and the liner. My head has a 21 inch circumference; thus that XS is nice and snug with my beanie underneath. I have the Scott LCG Compact Goggles and they fit perfectly with this helmet, usually I purchase the same brand for both my goggles and my helmets but I didn't have any luck finding goggles that fit my face and had a cool design. I went for it and bought different brands banking on the fact that they would work togetrher! They did! I love the helmet, on the blue bird days that we have often here in Utah, the bill keeps the sun out of my eyes but it also lets me get that rad goggle tan I ski for. Try it out and share what you think!

Not the same fit it used to be

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I had this model helmet for a bunch of years when it was the Red Mutiny and Mutiny 2, but it seems the fit has changed and no longer fits my head the same. Overall good quality product though.

        The go to.

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This helmet works amazing with my anon goggles and is super comfy.

I've got a larger head and the size large was a perfect fit.

*bonus you can put older headphones/ stereo setups in the ear pads!

        Unanswered Question

Do the Outdoor Tech Chips fit comfortably is this helmet?

        Perfect Helmet!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great helmet, works well with both my Smith and Oakley goggles. Would suggest to friends and purchase again if I had to.

does this come with the audio with it?

Media and Audio system is not included but compatible and ready! Let us know if you have any other questions.

        Hard Charging Helmet

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've skied over 70 days this season, the large majority with the Anon Blitz helmet. It is very well constructed, fits comfortably and it accommodates my Smith goggles no problem. It also accommodates my bluetooth speakers easily, and they are easily accessible for recharging, without having to remove each time.

The peak is neither here nor there. It really isn't functional but it doesn't bother you. Venting is absent. This season has been particularly warm, and I noticed that you sweat a lot easier than when using vented helmets. I mostly ski in the Rockies, and it gets bitterly cold, so it's a side effect I'm prepared to live with.

This is a no-nonesense, hard charging helmet that will last quite a few seasons. I'd recommend it anyday.
