The cushioning of the Olympus is 33 millimeters of dual-layer EVA midsole that employs A-Bound and InnerFlex technologies. A-Bound foam is made of recycled materials and protects your foot from hard surfaces while increasing energy return. InnerFlex lightens the midsole package for more speed and better performance with grid-like grooves throughout the midsole that keep everything more flexible and lightweight. This cushion package keeps your run flexible, responsive, and comfortable.

The Vibram MegaGrip and TrailClaw sole is what sets the Olympus apart from other trail shoes in the Altra line up. Vibram is made of extra sticky rubber that really grips on any trail surface, wet or dry. The TrailClaw lugs are strategically placed under the bones of the foot to give optimal, supported traction.
