Built specifically for mountain running, the King MT features a Vibram MegaGrip outsole, complete with 6mm lugs that are ready to rip, grip, break, and provide medial support in all sorts of conditions— especially the untrekked kind.

Now on it's second run around the rough and tumble trail, the King MT 1.5 features a new upper with reinforced mesh for enhanced durability, as well as drainage features for all that wet muck you're tearing apart. The FootLock strap has also been moved medially and lower down on the arch for a more comfortable feel. It's kept the Altra Ego midsole, which attenuates shock and promotes energetic response for reduced foot fatigue, and still features Altra's signature Zero Drop platform and FootShape toe box. The former encourages natural alignment of the feet and back while the latter lets your toes relax, giving you more stability and power on the trail.
