    Targhee 3 Tent: 3-Person 3-Season

With everything you need and nothing you don't, the ALPS Mountaineering Targhee 3-Person 3-Season Tent delivers a durable design that makes the most of its space on weekend getaways, all without emptying your wallet. The floor is crafted from 85D 185T poly taffeta with a 1500mm coating to withstand tough abuse at the site and keep precipitation at bay, and the 75D 185T polyester fly resists UV damage on sunny days, stays taut when the wind starts blowing, and deflects rain to keep your slumber dry and cozy. And both the fly and floor are factory-sealed for even more weather protection.

Two doors make for an uncluttered, flowing design that adds both ventilation and entrance and exit options, and the attached zippered windows further boost breathability by letting the cool breeze in on hot days—but not pesky insects. Shock-corded fiberglass poles snap into place easily to provide you with a durable, sturdy support system, and the mesh storage pockets and integrated gear loft help you make the most of your space by storing your flashlight, lighter, maps, and layers close by.

    • Top-tier tent for weekend fun that doesn't break the bank
    • Poly taffeta floor and fly offer weather-and abrasion-resistance
    • Two door design opens up the spacing and makes for easy in and out
    • Two zippered windows adds breathability
    • Gear loft and side mesh storage pockets hold all of your essentials
    • Shock-corded fiberglass poles ensure a durable construction

    Love this tent

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Camping with my sons BSA troop requires setting up tents at night, and usually after a 3 or more hour drive. My other tent was a 4-6 man and had loops to slip the poles thru. It was getting a little frustrating wrestling with the tent at 10pm and losing. Started looking around for something smaller and easier and the Alps Mountaineering was it. No pole loops, the clips clip to the exoskeleton AND it is very easy to put up the frame by myself. The rainfly snap buckles at the tent corners. I can probably have the whole thing set up in about 15 minutes.
Light weight, plenty of space for 1, comfortable for 2 and snug for 3 with not a lot of space for anything else. For $70, this is a great buy

    Great value!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

    Value
Really to me this is a value based purchase. The tent is really reasonably priced, and for some car camping it'll do you great. I had to pick one up in a pinch when I couldn't find my other tent and took this down to southern Utah. The tent did great. Nice and cool at night, though it got good and hot in the afternoon and made for a real sweaty nap.

    Quality
I've only used this for a couple nights now. It seems like a decent tent in terms of build quality and nothing seemed to stand out that had me worried. It's very simple to set up and take down.

    Comfort
Nice and cool at night so sleeping is easy. Not much else to say there.

    Works great!

Had a chance to use this tent at Wedge overlook. It sets up very easily. The poles use clips, instead of sliding through an integrated sleeve. The rain fly utilizes it's own standalone stakes, which makes it even more stable in the wind. Very roomy. zippers zip nice and smooth. Would reccomend

    Tall Tent

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This was a nice tent overall but was returned due to size. It was very roomy and tall.
