Very versatile

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Believe it or not, I was dumb enough to sleep in this quilt in low 30F condition in the Tillamook in Oregon mid-November. To my pleasant surprise, it is warm enough for me to sleep like a baby 8-hour straight. Definitely a lot of bangs for your bucks.

Buy 2 or more now or you?ll regret it.

This is your inner child?s security blanket writing this review to let you know, ?I?m Back!? Alps resurrected my soul from the fate of your evil parents and made me in the image of your dreams. My savior begs your pardon for hacking your inner child but once I?ve enveloped you in bliss, you?ll forgive them unconditionally and be grateful for their trespasses. Seriously though, even if this quilt/bag never sees the light but from your bedroom window, you will love it so much that the thought of anything more than a fitted sheet will never cross your mind. That said, it is well designed and well made. A good product is equally dependent upon those merits and it?s exceedingly rare to find. Then there?s the price point? that won?t last. This product has so much potential even considering the limitations of its design. Don?t like quilts? Use it as an over, under, or inner bag in colder weather. Too warm? Then you don?t understand the advantages of a quilt. Through a leg out, pull it off, pull it back on, etc. The advantages of a quilt far outweigh a sleeping bag for one reason alone- Versatility. When you specialize any product for a narrow set of parameters you construct it?s value for the end user in all but specific circumstances. Eventually someone if not Alps will make these in a >30°F and < 30°F variant but for now this will cover the majority of fair weather users and augment extreme users without competition. Yes I?ve seen the others and I stand by that last statement. I live in a temperate climate and it?s perfect for me on my bed, in my van, on the sofa, and in a tent. Think you can live without it? No driver or passenger should be travelling in winter weather without a blanket and this is perfectly suited for just that. I wouldn?t be wasting any effort writing this if it wasn?t worth every penny and then some. Items to be more on the reptilian end of the sleep spectrum. I can snuggle into this when it?s 70° but i?m an exception. I prefer my room to be 45-55°F in the winter when the windows are open and this will be perfect but Even now with fall temps still above 60° at night it?s great. Besides, I immediately ordered two more for my family and I think i may double both orders just to allay my fear of the zombie apocalypse or inevitable ?product discontinued? notice. I can always marry two of them if necessary. The elastic cords for securing to a sleeping pad are suitably placed, easily adjustable, and easy to remove which I did immediately. They are useless to me personally except as accessory cord, and hardware for which would work very well to marry two bags. Ok I?ve exhausted most of you by now. Note: I?ve got more important things to do than convince others to buy a product that may sell out before I can exhaust stock on hand. My apologies to those who?ve read this too late as I selfishly fulfilled my order before submitting my review. Alas! The hoarding of toilet paper? I get it now. I could live without the latter but cannot for see another day on the planet without this bag, quilt, woobie blanket, whatever you want to call it. If some feel this way about toilet paper then I forgive you and apologize for my mockery and scorn. Finally, thank you to backcountry.com for the ample space to exercise my right to sleep, comfort, and freedom of speech.

Versatile, need more testing

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was looking for a versatile quilt, feeling restricted in a mummy sleeping bag. So far this is great. I slipped my bag liner over mat for a "sheet" and with the quilt on top, secured by the draw strings beneath mat, I was able to continually move from sleeping on my side to back with everything staying in place. Only 4 stars because I need to test in lower than 60 F temps, but very pleased so far.

Warm, packs down small

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Used this for a 5 day canoe trip where I was planning on hammock camping and using a tent. Needed something versatile for both, and this was quite the find. Lows dropped to 40, with high winds and rain several days. This worked well in the hammock, and offered plenty of warmth. Used in combination with a Rumpl trail blanket for extra layer, but that was mostly to add a secondary bottom layer as my sleep pad went south. Footbox is quite nice and only reason 4 stars is that once in the quilt, it?s hard to cinch anything down. All straps are under and very difficult to tighten, especially in a hammock. For the cost, highly recommend.
