Why We Like The Comfort Series Air Pad

ALPS Mountaineering gave the Comfort Series Air Pad a slew of features to ensure you sleep comfortably and stay on your pad all night. This inflatable pad includes an open-cell foam interior for increased insulation and faster self-inflation. Just open the valves and let it sit. A few puffs of air is all that's needed to finish the job. ALPS Mountaineering added PVC dots to the bottom of the Comfort Series Air Pad to keep it in place on your tent's floor. They also included a brushed top fabric that keeps you from slipping off in the middle of the night.

Usable but Flawed

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

As the product name implies, this is a car-camping sleeping pad and not ideal for backpacking. When freshly inflated, it does its job well. The pad grips the tent floor while also giving your bedroll some much-needed cushion. However, mine has never held air for more than 24-36 hours. It _does_ hold air overnight, and inflating/re-inflating is relatively quick, but a markdown is nevertheless warranted.

Very Comfortable

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Exceeded expectations. Camped in 25-30 degree nights and mat provided insulation from the cold ground. I wake up with zero aches or pains. I?m 5?8? and 175 and the mat?s thickness gives good comfort for a side sleeper my size.
