Add some spice to your trip.
Especially when the weather's cold, it's so nice to open up your nasal congestion in the middle of a backpacking trip with AlpineAire's Spicy Chicken Curry. Of course, the combo of currants and apples sure are tasty, and the rice and lentils are filling for backpacking, but the spiciness rids all the muck in your nose that developed in the tent all night long.
- Sweet, savory, spicy curry made for backpacking
- Rice, lentils, currants, apples, and chicken with seasons and curry
- Two cups of boiling water and ten minutes waiting time
Very Tasty and Lower in Sodium
I have tried many, many different freeze dried meals, and this is one of my favorites. It has a great curry taste, and it's not too spicy. It uses spice in a flavorful way but not in a burn your mouth way. I'm kind of a spice wimp with Swedish (bland food) ancestry, and I like this.
Also, if you are keeping an eye on your sodium intake, this meal has significantly less sodium than most freeze dried meals.
Solid Backpacking Meal
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This was definitely spicy, but it was a good meal to end a long day of backpacking. Good price, good flavor!
