In the section "Tech Specs" Primeknit Wool is listed as the material. Now that I received the shirt, I have to say I am pretty disappointed, the shirt does not feel like Merino wool. It feel like plastic. And indeed, the little sticker in the shirt lists 39% Wool, 35% Polyester and 28% Nylon. If that is "Primeknit Wool" than Adidas pulled a pretty evil marketing trick. And Backcountry did not help because they did not tell us that "primeknit wool" is plastic.

Great running top

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this top to use while running outdoors on trails and indoors when the weather isn't cooperating.
It has done the job well, and keeps the moisture pulled away from the body and dry to the touch. The only downside is the length. I got a large and compared to others I have worn the length is 2-3 longer than I would prefer. Still a good piece of gear to use for running or going to the gym.
For size reference, I am 5'10" 180lbs and went with the large. I think when I get back down to 170, I will need a medium.

Awesome base layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

I wore the shirt for a few workouts and a four day hiking/camping trip. It handled lots of sweat and transitioning to chilly temperatures as well. Minimal funk at the end of the trip and it dried out quickly.
I describe the fit as true to size. It's kind of tight fitting, but that's what I'd expect on a base layer. I didn't expect it to fit like something I'd wear out.

Cool Shirt!

Overall I like this shirt. Tighter fit than expected, so you possibly may want to go up a size.
