Why We Like The Terrex Free Hiker Primeblue

The elastic heel strap separates the Adidas Terrex Free Hiker Primeblue Hiking Shoe from most mid-cuff hiking boots. It has a bit more heel support without inhibiting freedom of movement. Rocky, technical sections of the trail feel a whole lot easier, and there's still plenty of stability for the long stretch. Underfoot, this shoe uses Adidas's Boost midsole for maintaining soft cushioning and shock absorption.

Details

Nice and comfortable but not waterproof

Nice and comfortable walking boots/trainer hybrid. Very comfortable. However, this version isn’t waterproof and so I can’t see any point in them. If waterproof I’d give them 5 stars. Honestly, what is the point in a hiking shoe that isn’t waterproof? I suppose I felt that because I live in the uk which is often wet. If I was visiting a desert or arid climate I suppose they would be great and cooler than the waterproof version. So horses for courses. Not for me. I am replacing them with the Gor-tex version which are totally waterproof as I’ve owned a pair before and they are great. Adidas should make this easier to figure out on their online shop because the different versions will be more appropriate for different climates.

Superb hiking shoes !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superb, light-weight, comfortable fit. Couldn’t ask for more of a suitable pair of hiking shoes to use from spring until autumn.

Walking on clouds

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) They are the comfiest hikers you can buy for women, very affordable and super lightweight. I wear these on 15km hikes with very minimal pain after . The only issue is it rubs on the ankles so you definitely need to tape your ankles or wear thick socks!

Comfy but still getting blisters

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of these - they're great traversing and have kept me cozy on 22+ mile hikes. The last pair though - I keep getting blisters - I've hiked at least 100 miles in these so not sure why that is. Taking this pair on 5 mile hikes or less has been great.
