-10 to 50 degree rating

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

I bought smalls because when you take the liner out they fit kinda loose; it didn't seem that the length was different between mediums and smalls. If it is the difference is small. If pants had sleeping bag ratings -10 to 50 degrees is how I would describe this system but this is a guess. Ive only worn it once so far but I had a light base layer on and in the shade it felt fine at 26 degrees; never started sweating but never felt cold. With the fleece liner I can tell I could wear it well below zero in the wind and you will still stay dry if it is snowing. Without the liner and the vents open i'm sure up to 50 degrees it will still be comfortable. If you have the money the Gore-Tex option is worth it. If not the original pants are still very durable; waterproof still breathe well. Gore-Tex will ultimately last longer and is a step up.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear. Measurements reflect the person's body size, not the garment size.
Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Sleeve:
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
