686 Authentic Standard Pant - Men's

Affordable doesn't have to mean sopping wet.

Looking for an inexpensive snow pant that won't leave you a sopping mess at the end of the day? Pick up the 686 Men's Authentic Standard Pant for shred-worthy performance that's priced right for boarders on a budget.

Its InfiDry-5 fabric keeps snow and slush from soaking through, and taped critical seams seal out moisture where it matters most. Mesh-lined Air-Flo thigh vents shed excess heat on warm spring days and heated park sessions. The Cordura-reinforced Horseshoe Hem keeps you from stepping on and inevitably fraying the backs of your pants, and boot gaiters prevent snow from getting in your boots when you're surfing through knee-deep powder. And when the snow really piles up, the PJ Connect system allows you to link your pant to your 686 jacket to create the ultimate anti-snow barrier. Even if you blew your budget on a season pass, you can still stay dry and stylish on the slopes with the Authentic Standard Pant.

Great Pants, Great Price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Wow. Finally a pair of affordable snow pants that rival the quality of pants that are 10 fold the price. I will admit, at first I was skeptical about the pants given the price. However, after using these pants on days ranging from sunny blue bird spring days, to treacherous blizzard conditions, I can confidently say they pass with flying colors.

686 Authentic Standard Pant

  • Size Bought: Large

These pants deliver a ton of bang for your buck. They're baggy enough to fit layers underneath, so you can use them in cold weather as well as warm. They're not super waterproof, but for shredding out here in Utah with our typically dry snow they do just fine.

Really terrible quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

The first pair i got lasted a record breaking 2 days before the zipper broke and the pocket the zipper was attached to ripped open. I figured it was just a single defective pair, nbd. Traded it back in for the same pair. This one didn't even last half a day before the crotch region split open. The material this is made with must be super low quality because it wasn't even like i bent over while being a size small and it ripped. it literally ripped sliding off the lift.

Basic Pant

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Great pant for the snowboarder that doesn't always have access.

Super thin and rand really small

I bought the xl and it didn't come close to fitting. Also, very much just a shell.

    So far so good

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I bought this for a family member and he has yet to complain so that's a good thing (and he's the type that normally complains about EVERYTHING!). I will update as he continue to use it.

    super epic pant

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: m

love how warm they are they fit super well, I stay dry the whole ride fits true to size no belt needed for me and I wear a 34 waist good length over all great pants.

are these pants insulated or a shell?

    Hey Amanda,

These are noninsulated pants. It is a pretty thick shell material but there is no insulation. Let me know if you have other questions.

Do these have a snap button above the zipper or a feed-through button?

    Howdy!

My women's version of these has a snap. Plus, if you click on other colors or if you click on the inside front photo, it shows a round rivet. So odds are way high, that its a snap. If I'm wrong, I'll cover the return shipping, if you're unhappy. Just hit me up directly!
