Defective boot

I just got these in the mail and am beyond disappointed. The right boot is super comfy and perfect, and the left boot has a major manufacturing defect - a huge extra fold of material on the inside by the upper right of the foot that rubs and is terribly uncomfortable. Absolutely super disappointed, and have to return. How did this get by quality control? I have literally never had this happen with any boot or shoe in my buying experience.
