The North Face Thermoball Full-Zip Jacket - Boys'

May the best ball win.

Cast from the adult-approved, kid-friendly mold, The North Face Thermoball Full-Zip Jacket is a fail-safe choice for backyard sled boofs, or an accomplice in a well executed snowball fight.

This jacket is equipped with the revolutionary PrimaLoft Thermoball technology—a fully synthetic, lightweight insulation that is water resistant and has warmth qualities comparable to down, but without the saturated dismal repercussions. Thermoball's tiny clusters of filaments trap warmth, regulate temperature, and disperse unwanted moisture—making this jacket ideal for rambunctious pint-sized rovers.

Nice, packable jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

My son loves his new jacket (boys small (size 7-8) in Terrarium Green Mesh Camo). It's lightweight, yet warm and he can easily pack it in his school backpack when he doesn't want to wear it - this is the main reason why I bought the jacket for him. Color is fun and the jacket is durable. The top of the zipper has a little pocket so that the zipper doesn't catch his chin - he really appreciates this feature. The fit is true-to-size. It's a great, but simple, packable kid-friendly winter jacket.

Great down jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XL

Got this jacket for Christmas and really like it. It's warm but not super warm which kind of surprised me a little because i thought it would be warmer. It is very light, however, and layerable which is very nice. I am a 32 year old but North Face boy's XL size fits me well (I buy boy's XL any time I can, fits better and is cheaper) the reason I gave it 4 stars though is because it is kind of poofy at the bottom and there is not a drawstring that lets me tighten it. Also, the color described as fiery red is waaaay more orange than it is red, like it should be called fire orange because it is not really red at all. The gray looks lighter than what is in the picture as well almost like a bronze as opposed to gray. Other than those 2 gripes it has been a great coat so far.

Good discount

Backcountry gave me a good discount on this jacket and free two day shipping I was very pleased until three days later after I purchased backcountry put up the jackets for half price with free two day shipping; I was a little upset I could have saved myself an extra twenty dollars. My son has not had a chance to wear it yet the weather is still not cold enough. It seems soft and hopefully it will hold up for the winter months. The inside has a label to put name and that is always helpful with school. I purchased the graphite Grey/Day-Glo yellow color; I like the colors they were not too flashy and not too dull. Hopefully I can find more good deals at backcountry.
