- Q & A
Sweet deal on a decent jacket
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I saw that a few people mentioned this jacket having some defects, however mine came in perfect condition. It's a great jacket for skiing, hiking, or just general outdoor wintertime activities.
Watch out for defects!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
Bought this jacket and used it a whopping 1 time before it tore and lost all the insulation. Also tried packing it up in the stuff compartment, but it was still the size of backpack. If you want a compressible jacket, get down. It looks nice, though.
Claimed weight says 3 oz. That has to be a mistake, right? Whats the actual weight? And packed size?
- Familiarity: I've used it several times

Saw 2 reviews that mentioned issues with the fit that worried me, but when I saw this insulated hooded jacket on sale on Black Friday it was hard not to give it a try. Good news, no issues with the fit at all for me. Nice long sleeves, long back, not tight in the shoulders (not for me at least). Very comfortably warm in the cold Colorado air, 3 usable pockets, a great deal at the $65 sale price I'd say.
I tried on 2 sizes but decided to return both due to awkward fit. The abdomen area seems true to size but roomy--not a slim fit. I liked the length in the sleeves and waist. What ruined it for me was the tight fit through the chest and shoulders. Even in the larger size that I tried, the tightness restricted my range of motion. Also caused the bottom hem to ride up like crazy.
It's a bummer because the materials and style seemed great. Zippers worked well and the placement of the pockets were good. Perfect weight for casual wear around town and layering for camping, snowboarding, etc. If the fit was different I would absolutely love this jacket.
Weird sizing, mediocre finish
Bought on a whim to have an extra puffy. Tried it on once out of the box and decided to return. I wear a small in Patagonia, arcteryx and virtually every other brand. I bought a small in this and was swimming in it. The jacket drops long in the back, is boxy at the waste, and tight under the armpits.
What type of insulation it is? Primaloft? 40g? 60g? Thank you.
