shred, i agree. the californians can all go back there and continue f*cking up their state instead of f*cking up ours.

except for you, GA. you can stay.

my point exactly, ice. most of the people you're preaching to about the evils of spending too much for brand name products... are people who very rarely pay retail for them.

show of hands... how many of you have paid retail (or even close to it) for Smartwool?

you're a jackass. maybe i would take you seriously if you actually backed up your reasoning or said anything except "you're dumb". if you have a reason that you disagree with me, that's fine. SAY IT instead of trying to make yourself feel superior by implying that you know so much more than me without actually saying anything intelligent.

one more, and then i'll shut up and go to bed

sorry, but the fact that someone disagrees with the fact that the main purpose of a site like this is NOT to make money blows my mind. do you really think the people in charge of companies like backcountry, REI, etc. give two shits about making people happy? sure, they offer coupons, have good cust. service, have big sales, give dividends (REI), etc., but these are pretty much only to ensure that customers keep coming back - so they can make more money off of them. SAC is no different. SAC is here so: 1) backcountry can move excess inventory that would otherwise sit in a warehouse taking up space and not generating revenue, and 2) to generate more interest (and subsequently more business) for BC.com and BCO.com.

if you really think it's here to make us happy, you might want to take off the rose-colored glasses.

unless they're Smiths that you bought from SAC. then you can just change the lens.

One Deal at a Time

At Steep and Cheap, we sell premium, core outdoor gear and clothing at prices that are downright criminal. Here’s how it works: Steep and Cheap sells one screamin’ deal at a time until it’s gone. The deals are fat, so they sell out fast. You have to act fast or you’ll miss it, but don’t stress—as soon as one deal sells out, we kick off another. It’s back-to-back deals all day long. Learn more.
