so you got a dollar deal, and most of us never did. Yeah yeah.. stop bragging.. if this was high school, you'd get beaten up. :)
In all honesty, I had the opportunity to grab one dollar deal at one point, but it wasn't in my size or anyone else's size that I would buy stuff for, so I let someone else have it. I'm not greedy.

I think the dollar deals are great! Even before I got one they were still fun to anticipate (my chaco canyonland hiking shoes arrived yesterday- thanks SAC!). Its sort of like the lottery- you don't really expect to win, but when you do it makes your day. :)
If you haven't gotten one, keep trying. Took almost 3 weeks for me to finally get one. If you think its a ripoff- more for the rest of us!

I got the westcomb chimera and the marmot alpinist in sizes that fit me, and god i find that incredible! to boot I was able to score my girlfriend a westcomb hoody that is so bomb I wish it was for guys. I don't know if it is luck or pure nerdy of staring at the screen and clicking quickly but I've gotten a boatload of these dollar deals. its disappointing to miss some like that superhero jacket yesterday but at the end of the day i am thankful for what has already come.
also those CAMP nano 23 krabs for $4.5 was an incredible deal. I bought 10 each time those came up!

Its a bummer to miss sweet items but like dakranii said, once you hit buy quickly its down to luck. You win some you lose some. Yeah i'm addicted to SAC since i got a marmot alpinist dollar deal. gives me something entertaining to think about during work though.

It sucks that I've missed some of the dollar deals (missed my favorite jacket of all time the Marmot Super Hero yesterday despite trying like crazy) but at least they're giving them to us.
That's my take on it. I would also liked that Marmot fleece that just went, but I didn't make it. But it looks like twisted has been coming here for years, so good for him for landing one.

You have about 2 seconds to get it in your cart and checkout. Know where to click and do it without any hesitation, be able to type your password in a split second and you might get lucky. A fast internet connection helps. My DSL at home, no way would I even come close. My T1 at work makes a big difference.
You're competing with thousands of other people for usually less than 10 or 20 items. They go quick.
