Is there anyway you can buy things that you missed out on?

I'm new to this SAC thing. Can someone tell me when these supposed dollar deals come up and how they work? Are they random placed throughout a day, or are the premeditated?

I need one of those ALPS mountaineering 0 degree primaloft bags...Please...

policy on swaps/trades? I know SAC used to have the swap aspect. If it is cool with sac peeps to mention here, I too have some trade requests.

I will gladly trade someone my brand new, unused Marmot Alpinist XL jacket for a Large Arc'teryx Seeker Comp Softshell Jacket, or any other Large comparable jacket. I scored the Marmot but it doesn't fit. I'm in need of a large.

and why would you put a solar panel on the outside of a tent stuff sack that you are going to stuff into your backpack?

Why not make a pack cover with built in solar panel? I usually put the pack cover on at the beginning of the day in case it does rain, and also to keep morning dew from bushes getting my pack wet. And how well could you expect a solar panel to work when you are hiking through the forest?

i would love to speak with the product designer. So...you thought who would use this? And the weight discrepancy of a 16oz tent bag compared to carrying some extra batteries? And the reason why someone wouldn't get a dedicated solar charger if they needed a charger?

next up.. sleeping pad with built in toothbrush

Wow, that Sierra Designs Solar Taquito is just flying off the shelf! Hello, future dollar item! :)

    by Ed (719)

someone please explain what this is

    by Matt Mio (219)

has appeared 73 times in the past 4 months.

    who still needs these?

SAC is going to ruin their success with this Free Shipping thing. They send you $5 and bill you $84. Its like an Asian rip off scam. BAD idea SAC, losing you friends.

Any chance of getting some decent down jackets with hoods? The only ones I've seen here lately have looked like garbage bags (and according to reviews feel like them too).

Are they still going today? When does the dollar deal promotion end?

I was in North Dakota visiting my girlfriend's parents during college. Her mom wasn't around when we arrived at their house, but she'd left out some chips and homemade salsa. It was one of those kind gestures you get in the Midwest; parents trying to make you feel welcome before you meet. I munched on some chips and salsa, and I remarked to my girlfriend that the salsa was about as spicy as ketchup. This is also fairly common in the Midwest. In fact, sometimes ketchup is too spicy. When her parents returned home, she mentioned casually that I'd said their salsa tasted like ketchup. It was one of those moments where you realize you didn't do a good job specifying what information was confidential. It was too late. I sent them a bottle of dried habanero as an apology. Her mom added a tablespoon of the dust to their chili without trying it first and had to throwout the whole pot. I burned her twice without even trying.

      One Deal at a Time

At Steep and Cheap, we sell premium, core outdoor gear and clothing at prices that are downright criminal. Here’s how it works: Steep and Cheap sells one screamin’ deal at a time until it’s gone. The deals are fat (up to 80% off and no less than 50% off), so they sell out fast. You have to act fast or you’ll miss it, but don’t stress—as soon as one deal sells out, we kick off another. It’s back-to-back deals all day long. Learn more.
