Arc'teryx gear

Why is Arc'teryx gear so expensive in the first place?
I dare ya!

$1 deals are cool but I dare you to throw some Arc'teryx gear out there at $1 rather than a measly 50% off!!
the big orange approach
by Matt Mio (219)
notice lately that when a jacket comes up in that bright hunter-orange color that the mens XL is always the last to sell? XL in green sells quick, and small or medium in orange sells quick.. but the XL or XXL bright hunter-orange...hmm..
is there something about the 6'3" guy wearing an XXL orange jacket that just screams "too much orange!"..as if we mentally know a small orange jacket isn't bad, but that there is a limit to how far down the street we want to see an orange blob approaching us or how far away we want to be seen from? I think there is some innate human awareness of 'too big, too orange'.
only if you call and cry

I did it one time on an item that didn't sell out at all (titanium forks for $3) -- so it showed up in my cart after that period ended..then that nikiwax UV proof came up for $.98/bottle, so I grabbed 5 of those. When I checked out the sporks were listed and legit but then a shipping receipt didnt show them or something so I gave a ring and explained my snatuation. they gave me the sporks at the SAC price + the nikiwax UV spray and clarified that the SAC cart ain't spose to work that way even if the sporks showed up after the sell-period ended.
conclusion: backcountry rules but SAC works th way it works - one item at a time done and done no cart consolidation or combo shipping
shipping

Can you ever combine shipping on 2 different SAC purchases? Hate to waste any more packing material than I have to.

Why do I only get a cart error on the $1 specials?
instant alert is TOO SLOW

I don't have a chance at getting any of these $1 deals. They are already on the next item most times I click on the pop up box.

Please let me know because I need one but I dont want a "womens" camelbak! Are you guys afraid of sleeping on the couch or what?!

love the boots.... hate the sizing
by rivke1806417 (14)
I was happy to score some of the women's boots until I read about the sizing. Bought an 8 which apparently fits like a 7. So not going to fit. Oh well.
DD: Junior Achievers
by g3arjunk1e (205)
During Junior Achievers class in 8th grade, we went on a tour of a local design firm. Junior Achievers was a required part of class, so I never thought the name was appropriate. "Required Achievement" would have been more accurate. Junior Achievers was where my school asked local business people to teach a class once a week for about six weeks. Or rather, whichever teacher was laziest asked for permission to run a Junior Achievers program as part of their class. Two local women came into our Civics room and talked about business stuff. Their questions for us were too easy for our first class, but no one answered anyway. I guess we were just waiting to see what they would do. It was the first time I've seen panic grip a teacher because the class was too well behaved; we didn't move or talk the entire time. The last class with the ladies was a trip to their business. During the tour, I said something like, "Oh man, I wouldn't like this job," when we were introduced to a designer. I meant it with no ill will; I was merely thinking aloud that I wouldn't like sitting at a desk all day. Of course now I know that this guy with the design job who I insulted actually had a pretty cool job. And I do sit at a desk most of the day anyway.
