Cure for the disease
by rivke1806417 (14)
I'll admit it- I have a SAC addiction. I sit and wait for that deal that I have to have. However, after seeing the same Mammut headlamp on for the 3rd time today, I might be almost cured.
Socks my @$$

Whats the deal? It says there are 25ish medium SmartWool socks left but when I try to buy them SAC says they are all gone. Grumble.
changing inventory?
by rivke1806417 (14)
What's up with the inventory changing when I refresh my page? The large socks were sold out then 25 magically appeared?!

I would be buying the Salomon trail runners now if they had them in my size. Too bad 12s and 12.5s are always few and far between. Show us men with slightly large feet some love, SAC!

DD: Bike Tires and Gas Stations
by g3arjunk1e (420)
My old coworker at the bike shop would tell people that they could fill up their bike tires at gas stations. That's true, but he would also tell them that the tire pumps at gas stations wouldn't get the pressure high enough on their tires, which is not true. Cars run their tire pressure at about 30 or 40 psi, and bikes run their pressure anywhere from 40 to 120 psi depending on the bike and rider. My coworker believed that gas stations only let you get up to about 45psi while you're filling up your tires, but they can actually pump them up so fast and at such a high pressure that it's easy for them to blow your tire right off the rim. It sounds like a shotgun going off when it explodes. He gave a lot of people this erroneous information before we caught him and set and him straight, and over the next couple months we had a lot of shaken-up customers coming in with exploded tires.
