    It just lies right below the surface. It is the dark spatula riddled underbelly to the clean and glossy surface of Steep and Cheap where sarcasm reigns supreme and the mockery of footwear fills the air. Finding SAC club is the first part of the initiation process. The second step involves sleeping with WeeeeeNer's mother. (Spoiler alert! She squirts) Afterwards we have cake and punch. There is also talk of T-shirts and balloons.

    I'm paraphrasing here, but Ernest Hemingway once described fishing as 'hours of boredom punctuated by moments of intense excitement.' I feel the say way about flying, only I'd replace 'excitement' with 'terror.' I have a couple friends stranded in Europe right now due to the volcanic ash that's hanging in the atmosphere waiting to incinerate jet engines. It sounds like flights will resume soon and they'll get back to their jobs and stop needlessly spending cash and burning vacation days. They may not get another day off this entire year, but at least they had an excuse to melt their brains for an extra week, and now it's a trip that will be much harder to forget. In honor of the volcanic ash, I pretended like I was stuck on this side of the Atlantic. There was nothing to do, so I just kept going to work.
