The Mammut Rocker Protection Airbag Backpack is streamlined for freeride comfort and performance, making it perfect for cat laps, heli bumps, and lift-served backcountry access. Just because it's small doesn't mean it's limited, though; it's still fully equipped with the removable Protection Airbag System that shelters your head, neck, and chest for trauma protection and provides Head on Top to help you float to the surface in an optimal (face-up) position. The airbag system is fully removable for versatility or use in-bounds, too, so you can ride lifts or even use the Rocker for summer hiking.

The Rocker features a safety leg loop to keep the pack in right place if you get spin cycled, and a three-step back length adjustment for a fine, balanced fit. An adjustable aluminum V-frame provides burly yet lightweight back support, and a thermomolded back delivers comfort and efficiency. A specialized internal compartment holds avy equipment, and there are multiple additional interior pockets as well as one on the hip belt for easy access to necessities. The Rocker also got a sleeve for your hydration bladder, so you don't have to eat snow and pretend that it helps. Stowable diagonal ski and snowboard carriers secure your shred sticks of choice, and there's even a nice SOS label with instructions for easy reference.

Please note that this system doesn't include the refillable compressed air cartridge, which is available separately. Also, remember that an airbag isn't a guarantee of safety—the best thing to do is avoid getting caught in an avalanche entirely.
