Big, skidding, and loose turns are fun when you've got a pow-covered slope to play with, but your powder boards turn terrifying pretty quickly when things get firm. If you're aiming to tear up the frontside, leave those fatties in the closet and step into the Blizzard G-Power FS Ski, a ride-the-rails ripper that'll arc its way down perfect cord, tear up afternoon hardpack, and make short work of anything that's trending towards bulletproof.
Generally, packing every technology you can think of into a ski is a good way to make it confusing and difficult to ski, but Blizzard managed to pull it off. While the G-Power is built on a fairly traditional wood core and pressed with gentle tip and tail rocker and powerful underfoot camber, it's been decked out with just about every laminate, reinforcement, dampener, and tech trick you can imagine. Somehow, they all work together to make it a ridiculously consistent, predictable, smooth, and powerful charger. The wood core is covered up with a stiff and damp titanium laminate that plows over rough terrain, and it's power is boosted by a vibration-dampening Full Suspension carbon fiber laminate and full sidewalls that reduce twisting under serious edging forces, giving the G-Power unbeatable grip when you tip it over. If that's not enough, ICC carbon-fiber reinforcements in the tip and tail reduce vibration and stiffen the extremities of the ski for seriously smooth turn initiation, even when you're pushing the speed limit in choppy terrain.
Blizzard didn't call it a day there, though. It decked the G-Power out with Dura-Tech, with involves durability-boosting features like aluminum tip and tail protectors, thicker top sheets, and beveled upper edges that resist chipping and delaminating. That's all great, but it's not as important as the 3 Matrix design that matches sidecut, flex, and camber profiles to achieve perfect frontside-shredding harmony, or the IQ binding mounting system that incorporates rails directly into the ski's construction, making it easy to mount bindings that transmit input directly to the ski without negatively effecting the flex.
