ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season Tent:

When the winds pick up and the clouds are full, be glad you’re bedding down in the Zephyr 2.

ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season Tent

If you spend a big chunk of your spring, summer, and fall nights in the backcountry, you’ll want a reliable, roomy shelter like the ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent. With its sealed seams and urethane-coated fly and floor, this lightweight three-season tent keeps you and your campmate dry in March moisture and during those fast-melting September snowfalls. The Zephyr 2 sets up quickly—two alloy aluminum poles and a simple clip system take it easy on your bed-ready brain. Mesh walls provide essential ventilation when your tent buddy has a sweaty dream. ALPS Mountaineering designed the fly to buckle securely to the tent and included stakes and guys for stability during heinous storms. Stash your mud-caked boots and soggy rain gear in the large vestibule and your book and headlamp in the mesh storage pocket before you sink into REM state.

Great value

I chose this tent because it met all the criteria I was looking for in a backpacking tent. First, It's affordable. (Seriously, this thing is even on SAC right now for a screaming deal) Comparable tents are going for $200+. Second I wanted something light and small with aluminum poles. There are lighter and smaller tents, but 8 ounces here or an inch there doesn't make a guy like me fret. Third, I wanted a tent that was fully mesh so that on clear summer nights I could leave off the fly and enjoy the view of the stars. Finally, I like the extra space of a 2 man tent. I prefer keeping my pack inside with me, and the extra room gives me space for the optional girlfriends.

I purchased this nice little haven on sale, which turned out to be a wicked great buy? I have researched and purchased many of tents, but for the price(especially the sale price) by far the best value out there. I mean you're getting a tent the big wigs would easily charge 3 to 4 hundred dollars for at a fraction of the cost. Easy setup, easy to pack, light for the amount of room you get, and dual vestibules; this tent is a no brainer. Do your homework and you will see why the ALPS Zepher 1,2, or is hard to beat.

Great for a "disposable" tent

The Zephyr 2 is very useful for trips where you don't care if your tent gets torn up. The price is great, and it's a solid tent. It's mainly a great 2 person summer tent.

Great value. The tent is extremely easy to assemble and just as easy to pack. It packs up small, yet provides plenty of room for two. The fly attaches nice and tight so there is no flapping in the wind. It also has ample vestibule space for all of your gear. It comes with plenty of stakes and even some spare material in case you have to make a repair. For just over $100, you can't go wrong with this tent.

Great tent so far!

I got this tent on S&C for such a great deal that even if it wouldn't have turned out be a good tent I wouldn't have been too upset. Lucky for me this tent is great. It is nice and light, sturdy construction, and the doors and vestibules on both sides make things so much easier for two people to get in and out. The tent is all mesh so during the summer it will be wonderful on hot days, but when it gets cooler it may get chilly in the tent. The only problem as many others have said, is that it is a little tight for two people. But if you want a nice light quality tent, and don't mind being a little snuggly this tent is for you.

This tent is GREAT! It goes together extremely easily, is very waterproof, and is just a great tent. It is really light and compact for what it is. It even has a clear window in the rain fly which it doesn't say anything about in the description. Nice and roomy for me and another person. Also if u haven't ordered anything from this site, they r AWESOME. They shipped super fast!, and they aren't gana screw you. bottom line is, Great tent, and Backcountry is the bomb.
